Proof 1: Virtues of Muawiyah (ra)قال أبو مسهر عن سعيد بن عبد العزيز عن ربيعة بن يزيد عن عبد الرحمن بن أبي عميرة – وكان من أصحاب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم – عن النبي – صلى الله عليه وسلم – قال : ( اللهم علم معاوية الحساب وقِهِ العذاب ) .
Prophet Peace be upon him said ” O Allah ! Teach Muawya the Book and Math, and protect him from the Punishment ” [Ibne Asakir 16/684,686,Dahabee in Seyar al Ailam al Nubala 8/38, Musnad Shameen 190] a) Shaykh Al-AlBani Said: “The Chain is Good.according to me Rout is Strong, Narrators are trustworthy and are those of Sahih Muslim except Ibne Abi Omair who is Companion(of Prophet peace be upon him) Some other routs say “”Allah, make him (Muawiya) guided, a guider, and guide people through him”. (Silsilah As Saheeha Vol 7 page no: 690 hadith no: 3227)
.Proof no 2 : Prophet (sallalahu alaihi wa ala alihi wa sallam) said to Muawiyah (r.a): “Allah, make him (Muawiya ) guided, a guider, and guide people through him”.[Imam Bukhari in Tareekh Al Kabeer 5/240, Sunan at-Tirmidhi, Shaykh Al-Albani Authenticated in (Sahih Tirmidhee 3/236)]
.Proof No 3 : Virtues of Muawiyah (ra)He was a Faqih and his prayer was like Prphet peace be upon him
a) Narrated Ibn Abi Mulaika: Somebody said to Ibn ‘Abbas, “Can you speak to the chief of the believers Muwaiya, as he does not pray except one Rak’a as Witr?” Ibn ‘Abbas replied, “He is a faqih (i.e. a learned man who can give religious verdicts) .[Bukhari Book #57, Hadith #109]
b) Abu Darda ra said:مَا رَأَيْتُ أَحَدًا بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَشْبَهَ صَلاةً بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِنْ أَمِيرِكُمْ هَذَا ، يَعْنِي مُعَاوِيَةَ I have not seen anyone who prayed like Prophet peace be upon him after Prophet peace be upon him other than Muawiyah [الفوائد المنتقاة العوالي الحسان للسمرقندي hadith no: 67]
Proof 4: Virtues of Muawiyah (ra)Ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) reported that the Prophet (صلّى الله عليه وسلّم) told him : ” Go bring Muawya to Me “, because he wrote down Allah’s Revelation (Wahy) for the Prophet [Recorded by Imam Ahmad 2651 , Dalail Al Nabuwwah of Behaqi vol 6 page 243 and verified to be authentic by Albani in Silsilat as-Saheehah 1-164 and Shaykh Zubair Ali Zai Authenticated and said Chain is Hasan in Majallah Al Hadith no: 29 page 5]
.Proof 5 : Ibn e Abbas ra Said
ما رأيت رجلا كان أخلق يعنى للملك من معاوية
I have not seen more applicable for Ruling (after khilafat of 4 Caliph) better than Muawiyah. [Tareekh Damishq 62/161 with authentic chain as Shaykh Zubair Ali Zai said in Majallah Al Hadeeth no: 29 page 62,Musannif Abdul Razzaq vol 11 page 453 no: 20985]

Lekin Ibne Tayymiah ne aisa nahi kaha .. Ibn Taymiyyah aisa a lIKHA HY.. Now lets see what actually Shaykh al-Islam Imam Ibn Taymiyyah (May Allaah bless his face) said in real. As, his words are in Iqtida’ as-Siraat, p. 294, 295:وكذلك ما يُحدثه بعض الناس ، إما مضاهاة للنصارى في ميلاد عيسى عليه السلام ، وإما محبة للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ، وتعظيماً له – والله قد يثيبهم على هذه المحبة والاجتهاد ، لا على البدع – من اتخاذ مولد النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم عيداً”With regard to what some people have introduced, either in imitation of the Christian celebration of the birth of ‘Eesa (Jesus – peace be upon him) or out of love for the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and to show respect for him – may Allah reward them for this love and effort, BUT NOT FOR THIS INNOVATION – of taking the birthday of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) as a festival”These wise words highlight the fact that LOVE of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) will be rewarded but not the INNOVATION. As, I will repeat his specific words again from the above full sentence:والله قد يثيبهم على هذه المحبة والاجتهاد ، لا على البدع
“May Allah reward them for this LOVE and EFFORT, but not for this INNOVATION”

Ibne taymiiayh ne ibne umar ko biddati nahi kaha lekin a kaha jo Khulafe rashdeen me nahi tha baad me biddat ibne umar ne shuru kiya yani JO Naya cheez ibne umar ne shuru kiya wo Lugut ke maana me hi kaha .. He didn’t say “this was from what he (ibn Umar) innovated”. .The literal translation is like this
هذا ليس من سنة الخلفاء الراشدين بل هو مما ابتدع”this is not from the sunnah of righteous caliphs, rather it was from among those (practices) which was innovated (or started)”
Ibn Taymiyya said it in general sense he didn’t say “he innovated it”.
1. Ibn Taymiyyah did not say that Ibn Umar was innovator or he did innovation… There is huge difference between saying that ”It was from the innovation of Ibn Taymiyyah” and ”It was innovated”. The former is sufficient to close the case and the later is quite different..
2. Ibn Taymiyya only said the practice is Bid’ah, but everyone does that act is not described as Bid’ati, as many people are excused because of Ijtihad and other reasons.
Now come to real understanding, as you have some problem in getting the fact that Sahaba weren’t Masoom…
1. Did Samura (RA) sell wine? Yes
2. Selling wine is prohibited? Yes
3. Does that mean Samura became Fasiq? No
4. In these days if anyone sells wine, is he a Fasiq? Yes
Another example:
1. Is it prohibited to eat snow while Fasting? Yes
2. Was Abu Talha believed that it was ok to eat snow while Fasting? Yes
3. If someone now eat snow during fast and consider it alright, is he an INNOVATOR? Yes
Similarly Ibn Taymiyya consider the Amal to be wrong and considered the act of Ibn Umar shaadh opposed to other.

1 –> Shaikh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah, “And whoever holds a good opinion of them – and claims that he does not know their true condition – then he is .acquainted with their true condition. So if he does not separate from them and make open his rejection of them, then he is to be counted from Amongst them. And as for the one who says that their words have a ta’weel (interpretation) that is in agreement with the Sharee’ah, then he is actually from amongst their leaders and chiefs. And if he is an intelligent person, then he will know his own lie in what he has stated (i.e.knows he is uttering a lie).” (Majmoo al-Fataawaa 2/133)
Again Shaikh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) said, “It is obligatory to punish everyone who ascribes himself to them the people of innovation or who defends them, or who praises them, or who reveres their books, or who detests that they should be talked about, or who begins to make excuses for them by saying he does not understand what these words mean or by saying that this person also authored another book and what is similar to these types of excuses, which are not made except by an ignoramus or a hypocrite. Rather, it is obligatory to punish everyone who knows of their condition and did not assist in repelling their evil, for repelling their evil is one of the greatest of obligations.” Majmoo ul-Fataawaa (2/132)
2 –> Shaikh Salih al-Fawzaan {was asked, “Whoever opposes the usool (foundations) of Salafiyyah from amongst those (contemporaries) who are around us [such as the Qubutiyyah Jadeedah, Surooriyyah, Turaathiyyah and others, Trans.] and assists and supports other methodologies [such as those of Sayyid Qutb or Mohammad Suroor, or Abdur-Rahmaan Abdul-Khaaliq and so on, Trans.], such that he praises their founders [such as Sayyid Qutb, Trans.] and their theorists (mufakkiroon) [such as Mohammad Qutb, the Mufakkir, Harakiyy, and Abdur-Rahmaan Abdul-Khaaliq, the Bannaawite, Trans.] is it obligatory to associate him with them in order that the people may take caution from him and so that they do not become deceived by his manhaj??????
Sheikh answered, “Whoever opposes the manhaj (methodology) of the Salaf and praises the methodologies which oppose the manhaj of the Salaf and praises those who are upon it, then he is considered to be upon the actual opposing methodologies himself. It is necessary to advise him and to call him (to the truth), for if he returns to the truth then so, “otherwise he is to be abandoned and cut off…” (al-Ajwibah al-Mufidah, p.105).
3 –>> Shaykh Rabee’ bin Haadee al-Madkhalee (hafidhahullaah¬ Ta’aala) said:”Don’t say about a man who opposes the manhaj of the Salaf that he is a ‘Salafi’ No, don’t say about a man who opposes the manhaj of the Salaf that he is a ‘Salafi’. Don’t say that a man is ‘Salafi’ until you are sure that he is upon the manhaj [of the Salaf]. He is honored by it, and calls to it. He loves and unites based upon it, and hates and separates because of it. This is a ‘Salafi’.But someone who claims that he is ‘Salafi’,’ and defends Ahlul-Bid’ah, and defends them against Ahlul-Sunnah, this is not a ‘Salafi’ whatsoever. Whoever he is – Arab or non-Arab, in the East or in the West – because Salafiyyah has special qualities. Salafiyyah has signs. 4 Shaikh ul-Islaam Ibn Baaz (rahimahullaah) was asked, “The one who praises Ahl ul-Bidah, is he to be counted amongst them???Sheikh Replyed ::: “Yes, there is no doubt about this, the one who praises them is one who actually calls to them”. [Cassette: Aqwaal ul-Ulamaa Fee Sayyid Qutb]

The self existent, the absolute, the eternal (not generally an object of worship)but rather of mediation and knowledge;
Brahma or the one impersonal universal spirit manifested as a personal creator and as the first of the triad of personal gods
1. Brahma, m. a priest (see asura-, kn-, mata-br0); n. the one self existent spirit, the absolute, R 2. Brahma, in comp. for brahman. – observe that in the following derivatives the nom. m. (Brahma) is used for impersonal spirit and the nom. m. (Brahma) for the personal god.

—>> Shaikh Muhammad Ibn Salih al-Uthaimeen (rahimahullah) On The Names And Attributes Of Allah Sub’hanahu Wa Ta’ala
Shaikh Ibn Uthaimeen (rahimahullah) said:
CHAPTER: The Names of Allah Are Tawqeefiyyah There Is No Place For Intellectual Free-Thinking Regarding Them:
Allah’s Names are tawqeefiyyah, meaning a kind of knowledge that is restricted to textual evidence; there is no place for intellectual free-thinking regarding them. Based upon this, we must suffice ourselves with what is found in the Book and the Sunnah, without adding or taking anything away. This is because the intellect will not be able to grasp the understanding of Allah’s Names that He rightfully deserves, so then we must suffice ourselves with textual evidences only.
This is due to Allah’s statement, “And follow not (O man i.e., say not, or do not or witness not, etc.)that of which you have no knowledge (e.g. one’s saying: “I have seen,” while in fact he has not seen, or “I have heard,” while he has not heard). Verily! The hearing, and the sight, and the heart, of each of those you will be questioned (by Allâh). (Surah Al-Isra Surah 17 Ayah 36).
And He also has said, Say (O Muhammad (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam)): “(But) the things that my Lord has indeed forbidden are AlFawâhish (great evil sins, every kind of unlawful sexual intercourse, etc.) whether committed openly or secetly, sins (of all kinds), unrighteous oppression, joining partners (in worship) with Allâh for which He has given no authority, and saying things about Allâh of which you have no knowledge.” (Surah Al-A’raf , Surah 7 Ayah 33). Furthermore, to ascribe a name to Allah the Exalted that He did not ascribe to His own Self, or to deny something He has named Himself, would be a serious crime against Him. So one must behave in the appropriate manner in this affair and stick to what is found in established textual evidences only.

Shaikh further stated: CHAPTER: The Kinds Of Deviation From the Correct Belief
[Allah commands us to abandon those who are known for ilhaad,And (all)the Most Beautiful Names belong to Allâh, so call on Him by them, and leave the company of those who belie or deny (or utter impious speech against) His Names. They will be requited for what they used to do. (Surah Al-A’raf , Surah 7 Ayah 180)
Ilhaad with regards to the Names of Allah the Exalted means to stray from the obligatory manner of believing in them, and ilhaad takes many forms:
Point THREE: To ascribe a name to Allah that He did not name Himself with. An example of this is how the Christians call Allah the father, or how the philosophers call Him the root cause of everything (al illatul-Faa’ilah). So since the knowledge of Allah’s Names is tawqeefiyyah, then to ascribe a name to Allah that He did not name Himself with is straying from the obligatory manner of believing in them. Furthermore, these names that have been ascribed to Allah are sheer falsehood that Allah is far removed from….”
Point FOUR: To derive names of idols from the linguistic base of His Names An example of this is what the polytheists did when they derived the name al-‘Uzzaa from al’Azeez, and al-Laat from al-Ilaah, according to one opinion, and they named their idols with these names……. Some kinds of ilhaad may be crimes of shirk or kufr (while others are less than that), depending upon the relative evidences and what they imply.

The Shaikh further states: The Proofs That Establish The Names And Attributes Are Only From The Book And The Sunnah:
The evidences used to establish Allah’s Names and Attributes are found in the Book and the Sunnah, and no Names or Attributes may be established using other than these proofs. So based on this: 1) Whatever Names and Attributes that have been established by the Book and the Sunnah,it is obligatory to affirm them. 2) Whatever has been negated by the Book and the Sunnah, then it is obligatory for us to negate that, while we affirm its opposite as a perfect Attribute. 3) Whatever has not been affirmed nor negated in the Book and the Sunnah, then it isobligatory for us to remain silent about its wording, as it must not be rejected outright simply because of the lack of evidence regarding its affirmation or negation……

Ibn Uthaimeen (rahimahullah) states in his another excellent work ‘The Explanation of Sufficiency In Creed by Ibn Qudamah’…The Names of Allah are based upon Revelation and as such, their affirmation is dependent upon what is reported in the revealed texts concerning them. Therefore, nothing can be added to them nor subtracted. This is because the intellect is not able to ascertain by itself which names Allah is most deserving of. So it is obligatory to depend upon the revealed texts for determining that. Also, naming Allah with that which He did not name Himself or rejecting what He did name Himself with, is a crime against Him and a perpetration of His right. Thus, abiding by the proper etiquettes with regard to this is obligatory. [Explanation of Sufficiency In Creed, page 19, by Shaikh Muhammad Ibn Salih al-Uthaimeen (rahimahullah)].

Shaikh Saleh al-Fawzan (hafidhahullah) states in his explanation of Aqeedah al-Wasitiyyah:
And they do not deviate with regard to Allaah’s Names and His Signs [by denying them or holding on to deviant and heretical ideas about them]. They do not enquire into the exact nature of His Attributes and neither do they make comparisons between His attributes and the attributes of His creation.
Explanation: (And they do not deviate with regard to Allaah’s Names and His Signs by denying them or holding on to deviant and heretical ideas about them]…).Ilhaad in the language means bending and turning away from something. From it comes lahd which is the niche in the side of the grave into which a muslim is placed . It has been named as such due to its deviation towards the side of the grave. Ilhaad with respect to Allaah’s Names and His Signs means deviating and turning away from their realities and their correct meanings towards falsehood. Ilhaad is of numerous types:
The First: When idols are given the Names of Allaah such as the derivation of al-Laat from al-Ilaah, al-Uzzaa from al-Azeez and Munaat from al-Mannaan.
The Second: Naming Him, far is He from all imperfections and Exalted, with what does not befit Him such as the name which the Christians give him, Father, or what the philosophers call Him, the Causer or Prime Mover.
The Third: Describing Him, far is He from all imperfections and Exalted, with what does not free Him of defects and shortcomings such as the saying of the Jews: Indeed Allaah is poor (needy) and we are rich[Aali Imraan 3:181] and also their saying: The hand of Allaah is tied [Maa’idah 5:64] and that He rests on the sabbath. Exalted is He above what they say.
The Fourth: Refusing and denying their meanings and their realities such as the saying of the Jahmiyyah that these attributes are but mere words which do not compromise characteristics nor meanings. To them, the name as-Samee’ does not give evidence for the characteristic of hearing, al-Baseer does not give evidence for seeing and al-Hayy does not give evidence for life.
The Fifth: Likening His characteristics with those of the creation such as the saying of a mumaththil (one who likens Allaah to the creation): His hand is like my hand and other such similar statements. Exalted is Allaah above such things. Allaah has threatened those who commit Ilhaad in His Names and Signs with a very strong warning. He said:
And to Allaah belong the Most Beautiful of Names therefore, call upon Him with them and leave alone those who deny and utter false imputations against His Names. Soon will they be requited for what they used to do. [A’raaf 7:180]
He also said: Verily those who turn away from Our Signs (by attacking, distorting and denying them) are not hidden from Us. [Fussilat 41:40]

Daleel : 1. “There will not cease to be a ” GROUP ” from my Ummah victorious upon the truth, not being harmed by those who oppose them until the command of Allâh comes about, and they are like that. { Related by Muslim (6/52-53) and Abû Dâwûd (2/202) from Thawbân radiallâhu ’anhu }
2. It was reported from ‘Awf ibn Maalik who said: the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The Jews were divided into seventy-one sects, one of which is in Paradise and seventy are in the Fire. The Christians were divided into seventy-two sects, seventy-one of which are in the Fire and one is in Paradise. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, my Ummah will be divided into seventy-three sects, one of which will be in Paradise and seventy-two will be in the Fire.” It was said, O Messenger of Allaah, who are they? He said,
“Al-Jamaa’ah.
{ Sunan Ibn Maajah, no. 3982 }
3.. I was narrated from Mu’aawiyah ibn Abi Sufyaan (may Allaah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) stood among us and said: “Those who came before you of the people of the Book split into seventy-two sects, and this ummah will split into seventy-three: seventy-two in Hell and one in Paradise, and that is the ” ”
“Jamaa’ah ”
{ Narrated by Abu Dawood (4597) and others; classed as saheeh by al-Haakim (1/128), who said: it is an important hadeeth that represents a basic principle. It was classed as hasan by Ibn Hajar in Takhreej al-Kashshaaf (63). It was classed as saheeh by Ibn Taymiyah in Majmoo’ al-Fataawa (3/345), al-Shaatibi in al-I’tisaam (1/430), and al-‘Iraaqi in Takhreej al-Ihya’ (9/133) }
–> The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) described the saved group as the jamaa’ah, i.e., the consensus of the Muslim scholars.
4. “ Allah will never let my Ummah agree upon misguidance, and the hand of Allah is over the Jama’ah .{ A narration “AUTHENTICATED” and reported by al-Hakim (1/116), and al-Dhahabi agreed with him]

Finnally : I Can give a soo Many references that All Muhadaseen and scholars in islam used the word Ahle hadees or ashabul hadees or Ahle sunnah wala jamah or Salafi ..
( 1)Ibn al-Mubârak (d.151H) – rahimahullâh – said:
“According to me, they are
Ashâbul-Hadîth (the Scholars of Hadîth).” [[Sharaf As-haabul-Hadeeth] of al-Khateebal-Baghdaadee (d.468H)
[2 ] Al-Bukhârî (d.256H) – rahimahullâh – said:
“It means:
Ahlul-Hadîth (the People of Hadîth).” [Mas’alatul Ihtijaaj Bishaf’ee Lil Khateeb Page 47 and Authentic Chain, Al Hujjatu Fee Bayaanul Muhajja 1/246]
[3 ] Imâm Ahmad (d.241H) – rahimahullâh – said:
“If this Tâ’ifatul-Mansûrah (Victorious and Aided Group) is not
Ashâbul-Hadîth, then I do not know who they are.” [ Related by al-Hâkim in Ma’rifatu ’Ulûmul-Hadîth (p.3), and al-Hâfidh Ibn Hajr declared its isnâd to be Sahîh in Fathul-Bârî (13/293). ]
[4l-Qâdi ’Iyâd (dS44H) – rahimahullâh – said:
“What Ahmad intended was Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamâ’ah: those who hold the ’aqîdah of
Ahlul-Hadîth.” [38] ]

.( 5) Imaam Ash-Shaafi’ee (d.204AH)
said:”Stick to the
Ahlul-Hadeeth, since they are the most correct of the people”
( As -Siyaar 14/197) and Also Abu Naeem Mal Asbahani (430 H) Said:
“And Ash-Sha’fee was upon the Madhab of “Ahul Hadeeth”

( 6)Khateeb Baghdadi (463 H) has written a Book on the Virtues of the Ahlul Hadeeth, titled:Sharf Ashaab al-Hadeeth, and also Check Tareekh ul Baghdad 1/224
(7) Sheikh-Ibne Taymiyyah said “We do not take the meaning of Ahlul Hadeeth to just mean the people who heard (ahadeeth), wrote them or narrated them rather we mean anyone who takes care to memorize it, understand it and follow it, both inwardly and outwardly.”[Majmoo’ al-Fataawa, 4/95]
–>>The explanation of Ibn Taymiyyah Rahimahullah proves that Ahlul hadeeth means 2 types of people: The Muhadditheen and their Awaam.
(8)Haafidh Ibn Hibbaan said about the Ahlul hadeeth that:
“They act upon the ahadeeth, they defend it and Annihilate its opponents.”[Sahih Ibn Hibbaan, Al-Ihsaan 6129]
(9 )Imam al-Haakim said: Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal did well when he commented on this report by saying that the “victorious group”who will prevail until the Hour begins is ashaab al-hadeeth (the people of hadeeth). Who is more deserving of this description than people who follow the way of the righteous and follow in the footsteps of the “SALAF” who came before us, and exposed the falsehood of the people of bidah (innovation) by basing their arguments on the Sunnahs of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)? [Marifat Uloom al-Hadeeth, by al-Haakim al-Nisaboori, p. 2, 3]
10 ) It is mentioned in the Quran, Surah Bani Israeel verse 71, that people will be called upon along with their Imaams. Ibn Katheer Rahimahullah mentions the Tafsir of this Aayah in Tafsir Ibn katheer that:
“Some of the Salaf said this is the greatest honor for the people of Hadith, because their leader is the Prophet (s.a.w)”
Allaahu Akbar and it is known that the Greatest of Imam of Muhadditheen and their awaam is the Prophet (s.a.w).
11) Jalaal ud deen Suyuti said in the Tafseer of Surah Bani Israeel verse 71:
“There is no better virtue for the
Ahlul hadeeth than that because there is no other Imam for the Ahlul hadeeth other than the Messenger of Allaah (s.a.w)”[Tadreebur Raawi:2/126, Noo’:27]

So Ahlul-Hadîth – may Allâh make us amongst them – do not have ta’assub (bigoted blind adherence) for the saying of any particular person, however elevated, or whatever position he holds. Rather, they cling to the Prophet sallallâhu ’alayhi wa sallam, as opposed to those who do not ascribe themselves to Ahlul-Hadîth;.So it is not surprising that Ahlul-Hadîth are al-Firqatun-Nâjiyah (the Saved-Sect ) and at-Tâ’ifatul-Mansûrah (the Aided and Victorious Group).
